– Hut warden –

From finance director to hut warden – my path to the Gandegghütte was anything but ordinary. After many years in an office, I decided to try something completely new: life in the mountains, at 3,030 metres above sea level.

Up here, I’ve swapped my suit and meeting room for hiking trousers, mountain air and encounters with our guests. Working at the Gandegghütte challenges me, but it also gives me unforgettable moments and a very special bond with this place.

My motto: Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Celine

– Hut warden –

I’m Celine, 26 years old, and since 2022 Zermatt has held a very special place in my heart. I’m originally from Bavaria, where I grew up surrounded by mountains and nature. The mountains have always been a constant companion in my life – and at some point they drew me to the big mountains of Switzerland.

During my time in Zermatt I’ve worked at several mountain huts, until the opportunity finally came to join the Gandegg. For me, it has long been more than just a workplace – it’s a place close to my heart.

With openness, warmth and passion, I want to give our guests an unforgettable time. To me, being a host means welcoming people, giving them a smile and making sure they simply feel at home with us.
